Join Our Team

Full-time Catalyst Creative Marketing Lead

Role Details:

Full time
Working pattern: Flexible working, with regular on-location filming in London
Salary: £30k - £40k dependent on experience

A rare opportunity has opened up to join the Catalyst team and help shape how we tell our story. Catalyst is looking for an experienced, creative and highly organised videographer & content manager to take ownership of our video content and social media presence.

We’re looking for someone who understands how to capture climbing in a way that feels exciting, authentic, engaging and inclusive. The successful candidate will be someone who can also turn that footage into great content across our social channels.

This is a hands-on creative role covering the full content process: identifying opportunities, filming, editing, publishing and helping shape the wider Catalyst content strategy.

The Role

You’ll work closely with Louis and the rest of the Catalyst team to plan and produce regular content around our coaching, athletes, events and wider work.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Filming high-quality climbing, coaching and event content

  • Editing short-form video for Instagram, TikTok and other social platforms

  • Planning and managing the Catalyst social media calendar

  • Graphic design work related to creating thumbnails for youtube content, social media posts and posters/ leaflets in gyms

  • Posting and scheduling regular content across our channels

  • Identifying content opportunities and developing ideas proactively

  • Producing longer-form video content where appropriate

  • Capturing photography and other supporting assets

  • Writing engaging social copy that reflects Catalyst's voice

  • Managing and organising our library of photo and video assets

  • Reviewing content performance and using insights to inform future output

  • Supporting the promotion of Catalyst programmes, events and partnerships

About You

We’re looking for someone who is both creatively strong, a confident communicator and able to take ownership of projects end-to-end.

You should be comfortable taking an idea from concept through to finished content without needing extensive direction, while also being able to work collaboratively with coaches, climbers and the wider team.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Demonstrable strong videography and video-editing skills

  • Experience creating engaging short-form social content

  • A good understanding of Instagram, TikTok and current social media formats

  • Confidence filming people in active, fast-moving environments

  • A strong visual eye and attention to detail

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • The ability to manage your own workload and content schedule

  • Experience using filming and editing equipment/software

  • An understanding of climbing and climbing culture

Previous professional experience in the climbing industry isn't essential, but a genuine understanding of climbing would be a significant advantage. Please note that whilst a lot of equipment will be provided by Catalyst, the ideal candidate will already have their own camera to film with.

Working with Catalyst

This is a full-time role with flexibility around how working hours are structured. Unlike our fully remote administrative roles, you'll need to be available for regular filming at climbing walls, coaching sessions and Catalyst events, primarily around London. There will also be significant flexibility to complete editing, scheduling, planning and other work remotely.

How to Apply

Please send us:

  • Your CV/summary of your relevant experience

  • A portfolio/showreel or examples of video content you've created

  • Links to any social media accounts or campaigns you've managed

  • A short introductory cover letter explaining why you're interested in working with Catalyst

Applications should be sent to enquiries@catalystclimbing.com by midnight 13th September 2026

First round interviews for this role will take place online on the 18th September 2026
