Joining

I’ve signed up – now what can I expect?

 

Welcome! Now that you are part of your new team, we will help you settle in and get the most out of your time with us.

 

Your first month: As we’re just getting to know each other, we want to make sure that this is a perfect fit for everyone. Therefore, your first month will be billed at only 50% of the price! This allows both you and the coach to make sure that you are happy before progressing further - this discount can only be applied once per person.

 

Team WhatsApp: You will have constant access to your coach to ask questions outside of sessions and be guided along your climbing journey.

 

Weekly Sessions: Using your membership, you will be able to book onto weekly sessions. You will be sent a booking link to your email prior to the session.To ensure you are covered by our insurance and that our coaches can accurately monitor attendance, you must be booked onto each individual session in order to climb with us. A private link to book onto each session will be sent to you via email and whatsapp by your team's lead coach.

 

Team Uniforms: Please let your coach know about your size requirements at your first session, and we’ll aim to get the uniform to you within your first month on the team.

 

Personalised Training Plan: If your package includes a training plan, feel free to have a chat to your coach about your goals. At the same time, the coach will spend your first few sessions fully assessing your climbing to be able to create the perfect plan for you. We always aim to send you this plan to you within your first month on the team.

 

Climbing Team Socials: These run on the second Friday of every month and are hosted by a selection of our coaches at different venues. You’ll be invited to join every month to meet the other teams, play some fun climbing games and win prizes!

 

Discounts

Do you offer any discounts?

 

Yes, we do! As coaches, we are very invested in your long-term development, and we value continuity. If you are a long-term member of our Catalyst Teams, your 6th full-rate month will be billed at only 50%. We will apply at the same discount at end of every consecutive 6-month period!

In addition to this, if you have an active membership with any of our teams you are also entitled to a monthly private coaching session with any of our coaches at a discounted 50% price! To arrange this, simply email our team at enquiries@catalystclimbing.com so they can check your active membership before sending you the necessary discount code.

Freezing your Membership

Can I freeze my membership?

 

Of course, there are times that you may be injured, away on holiday, or just too busy with work to attend team sessions. We wouldn’t want you to lose out during this period. We do, therefore, allow you to freeze your membership for absolutely any reason.

 

 

That sounds like a fantastic idea! Are there any limitations?

 

You can only freeze your membership for 8 weeks per calendar year. The period of the freeze is always measured in weeks and must be a minimum of 2 weeks.

 

 

Great, that’s all clear now! How do I freeze my account?

 

Please feel free to contact us on enquiries@catalystclimbing.com. Make sure that you contact us at least 48 hours before the freeze period, letting us know the start date and number of weeks of absence. We’ll set your monthly end date back by the appropriate period.

Time Off

Do the weekly sessions run all year?

 

We aim to provide coaching all year round! Unlike some other sports, climbing works perfectly in any season, and we love it too much to stay away for long.

 

Our membership is calculated on the basis of 4 sessions per month. This leaves a few excess weeks in the year, which we want to give back to our hard-working coaches who also deserve some personal time. We will provide 48 weeks of coaching per calendar year - just as we allow our climbers to freeze for their own reasons, we respect that the coaches have their own needs too, and so give them the flexibility to skip a 4 of the total 52 weekly team training sessions. This will always be communicated in advance to you by your lead coach whenever this takes place.

Cancellation

Unfortunately, my circumstances have changed. How do I cancel my membership?

 

We’d be sad to see you go! Send us an email at enquiries@catalystclimbing.com at least 5 days before the end of your billing period to give us time to process your cancellation.

 

Cancellation will always be applied at the end of billing period. Also, remember, the door is always open, and we’d be happy to welcome you back should you be in touch in the future!
