Catalyst Training Plans

You asked, we did it! Catalyst now offers training plans to help you achieve your climbing goals.

You can opt to purchase our Off-The-Wall Training Plan (suitable for all levels), or a deluxe On-The-Wall Training Plan designed just for you.


Off-The-Wall Training Plans

These are our standardised training plans for at-home training, and are ideal for maintaining and developing your climbing fitness without access to a bouldering gym.

Developed for all ages, all abilities, and all equipment set-ups, they're rigorously researched and tested, and a great basis for an ongoing training regimen.

What Plans Are Available?

We currently offer three standardised training plans:

  • Catalyst Off-The-Wall Training Plan for Climbing Fitness (Pull-up bar Required)
  • Catalyst Off-The-Wall Training Plan for Climbing Fitness (NO PULL-UP BAR!)
  • Catalyst Off-The-Wall Training Plan for Bouldering Strength

On-The-Wall Training Plans

For when you want to kick it up a notch, a Catalyst Personalised Training can take you from point A to font 8B. This is your opportunity to set your goals, and have a highly qualified coach give you exactly what you need to get there.

Our Personalised Training Plans can be done both remotely andin-person, meaning that no matter where you are, you can get a bespoke plan just for you!

Remote On-The-Wall Training Plans

Online consultations via Skype with our coaches give you the opportunity to provide detailed information on your climbing history, routine and future goals.

To get the most out from the consultation, we we will create and share with you a dedicated folder on our OneDrive, and ask you to provide us a total of nine videos as follows:

  • Three videos on slab, vertical and overhanging problems: pre-rehearsed at two grades below maximum flash grade. (3 videos). The student should pick one slab climb, one vertical climb, and one overhanging climb at 2 grades below the hardest they have managed to flash. They should rehearse each climb 2-3 times, then film their following attempt.
  • Three videos on slab, vertical and overhanging problems: first attempt at maximum flash grade. The student should pick one slab climb, one vertical climb, and one overhanging climb at their current flash grade, (none of which have been attempted previously) and film their flash attempts at each.
  • Three videos on slab, vertical and overhanging problems: attempts of climbs at project grade. The student should pick one slab climb, one vertical climb, and one overhanging climb at their current maximum project grade, and film themselves attempting these climbs.

The videos should be taken in HD, and filmed from a single static position.

Following the consultation, you'll be sent your completely personalised Training Plan within 3 days, and receive email support from our team throughout the duration of your plan.

In-Person On-The-Wall Training Plans

In-person consultations at one of our partnered London walls with our coaches give you the opportunity to provide detailed information on your climbing history, routine and future goals as well as a complete in session.

Following the consultation, you'll be sent your completely personalised Training Plan within 3 days, and receive email support from our team throughout the duration of your plan.
